The story · part 2 of 5

🛖 The hut:
every app a home of its own.

In the village every app has a hut. Inside the cauldron bubbles, under the floor lies the larder and outside stands the well.

The story

Whoever has an idea in Armori.ca builds a hut. You describe what you want on the village square, and a new hut rises with your recipe as Panoramisk's first job.

Every hut has everything an app needs: a cauldron to brew in, a larder for its data, a well for its API and a shield above the door, its icon. And every hut has a history of its own, sprig by sprig.

What works today

Available

• A new hut from the start page: your description becomes the first request to Panoramisk.

• The name comes from app.json, so Panoramisk can give it too.

• An app card with the icon and a screenshot of the start screen.

• "Last edited" on the card and "Recent" in the sidebar.

• A git history, database and API of its own per hut.

• A logo as SVG automatically becomes the shield: app icon, favicon and splash screen.

• Duplicate, fork from a version, move to another village, and delete with "Undo".

Still in the cauldron

Plan

• Signboard: name, icon and one line about what the app does on its card.

• Smoke from the chimney while Panoramisk works in that hut.

• Moss on the roof of a hut that hasn't been touched in a while; scaffolding on a hut without versions.

• A map of the village: huts in a circle around the cauldron.

• Floor plan of the hut: every screen a room, with a lantern where there are errors.

• Lock a hut during a review, a test kitchen for 7 days, a ruin for an archived app.

• Hand a hut over to a client, or bring in an existing Expo project.
