The story · part 4 of 5
🌿 The mistletoe: every version a sprig.
A druid cuts mistletoe with a golden sickle. In Armori.ca every version of your app is a sprig, and the sickle takes you back.
The story
Every time Panoramisk brews something that works, a sprig of mistletoe grows on your hut. Also when you save code yourself. So a branch grows with the whole history of your app.
Don't like the latest version? Take the golden sickle and go back to an earlier sprig. Want to try another direction without losing the old one? Take a cutting: a new hut that grows from that sprig.

What works today
Available• Every app has its own git history.
• Saving and every turn of Panoramisk become a version.
• Panoramisk saves versions himself, each with its own description, as often as needed.
• The version history in the editor (/versies).
• Restore an earlier version; that becomes a version itself, nothing is lost.
• Fork from any version: a new app with the history up to that point.
Still in the cauldron
Plan• The golden sprig: pin a version as a milestone.
• Recipe in the margin: the recipe next to every version, with "Brew this again".
• Compare two sprigs, with screens and a summary.
• Footprints and trace back: see what a turn touched, and what made something so.
• Family tree: "Cutting of …" on a fork.
• Set a sprig aside before a big turn, and undo a single change.
• The first sprig is called "Sown"; a village chronicle in plain language.
